Why am I a Physical Therapist?
I truly enjoy helping people understand the nature of their injuries and educating them regarding injury prevention. I tend to focus on patient education and postural awareness. Most people enjoy learning how they can affect their own problems and are pleased to have some control over their condition. I think most people are surprised when they realize that their “normal” posture may contribute to whatever pain or discomfort they may be experiencing.
Continuing Education Commitment
I have completed my Manual Therapy and Pilates Certifications. I think continuing education is important in order to keep up with the trends and changes in the industry so that I can be more efficient in treating my patients.
Professional and Community Activities
I am currently an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, have taught back school, and have given lectures to to the public on athletic injuries. Outside of work, I enjoy playing ice hockey, skiing and being outdoors with my family.
