Why am I a physical
therapist?
I truly enjoy helping people
understand the nature of
their injuries and educating
them regarding injury
prevention. I tend to focus on patient education and
postural awareness. Most people enjoy learning how
they can affect their own problems and are pleased to
have some control over their condition. I think most
people are surprised when they realize that their
“normal” posture may contribute to whatever pain or
discomfort they may be experiencing.
Continuing education commitment:
I have completed my Pilates Certification and have taken
a variety of manual therapy related courses that have
addressed each area of the body. I think continuing
education is important in order to keep up with the trends
and changes in the industry so that I can be more
efficient in treating my patients.
Professional and community activities:
I am currently an active member of the American
Physical Therapy Association, have taught back school
and have given lectures on athletic injuries to the public.
Outside of work, I enjoy participating in events that
benefit various organizations such as running the
Jamaica Marathon as part of the Train To End Stroke
program and participating in the Race for the Cure.

Personal interests:
In my spare time, I enjoy participating in most sports
and running with my Black Lab, Tucker. I also recently
began playing ice hockey so I try to spend a few hours a
week on the ice.
