Why am I a physical
therapist?
I use an approach that takes
a comprehensive look at the
musculoskeletal system,
nervous system and
movement strategies to identify impairment. I focus on
patient education, with an emphasis on empowering
patient allowing them to take an active role in their
rehabilitation.
Continuing education commitment:
I stress the importance of education in my own
professional pursuits as well. I enjoy treating complex
spinal dysfunctions and my post professional education
has focused on rehabilitation techniques to address
challenges within the spine. I am currently working to
complete a certification in Manual Physical Therapy
through the University of St. Augustine and hope to
complete my Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy
next year. This training allows me to keep abreast of the
latest research and most effective treatment techniques to
ensure that my patients are receiving the highest quality
care available.
Professional and community activities:
I have been active within the community participating in
APTA sponsored events, volunteering for the 9 News
Health Fair and Habitat For Humanity. I am an
instructor for a number of lectures that Denver Physical
Therapy offers including Back School and Golf Fit.

Personal interests:
In my free time, I enjoy spending time in the mountains
with my Black Labrador, Riley. I stay active in the
outdoors spending much of my time golfing, hunting,
fishing and hiking. I also recently completed my scuba
diving certification and have begun exploring the
underwater world!
What patients have said:
-"Phil made me feel like a special patient. He treats
every-one this way and it makes each of us feel like
‘the only ones.’"
-"Phil is an outstanding motivator and teacher. He
explained my problem in detail and empowered me to
get better."
