Why am I a Physical Therapist?
My interest in Physical Therapy first began in undergraduate school when I sustained an injury, which required surgery and rehabilitation. I was very impressed with the therapist’s compassion and motivation to help me recover from an injury that was both physically and emotionally challenging. Using my own experience, I strive at helping clients to improve their level of performance whether it is athletic, recreational or occupational.

Continuing Education Commitment
Physical Therapy is a profession that can combine manual therapy with proven corrective exercise programs to help athletes reach their goals whether it be a competitive soccer player or recreational skier. This can be achieved through evidence based sports functional screens, which detect muscle imbalances overtime that could lead to injury. Although injuries cannot always be avoided, training the body in functional sport specific patterns can allow the body to develop neuromuscular control in any given movement. This is better said: "If you train the muscle you may not completely develop movement, but if you train the movement, the muscle will develop appropriately." -NASMI

Personal interests
Outside of Physical Therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, including activities such as hiking, mountain biking and strength training.
