Why am I a Physical Therapist?
I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work in a profession that allows me to have a positive impact on peoples' lives. I received Physical Therapy while in high school for various sporting injuries and decided to evaluate the profession. I volunteered at the local Physical Therapy clinic and decided to pursue my interest in college. The profession has been extremely rewarding for me as I have had the opportunity to improve the quality of life of so many individuals and create lasting relationships.
Continuing Education Commitment
I value the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. I have taken an active role in continuing my education after graduating through advanced certifications. I completed my Manual Therapy Certification in 2001 from the University of St. Augustine and continue to stay up to date through educational seminars and research. I have received specialty training in foot dysfunction both with the diabetic and athletic populations. I developed a research study group at the clinic and conducted in-services for professionals. I have also been a contributing author for North Oaks Sports Medicine Quarterly.
Personal Interests
I enjoy living an active life style of hiking, biking, skiing, etc. I have a passion for traveling and experiencing different cultures. I attempt to maximize my time with family, as that is my number one priority.
